Carried a full laundry basket, two electronic devices and a hot cup of coffee up the stairs on a bum leg this morning. Who’s living on the edge now?

In the future, when the country is trying to rebuild its higher education sector, we will need to do a better job of choosing who leads it. I‘m going to suggest interview questions such as: ‘do you care about universities?’, ‘why?’, & ‘prove it’ I know this is a radical idea, but we should try it.

Appliance manufacturers should check the door size of the average home before making refrigerators. Not everyone needing a fridge has a McMansion with double doors.

Here's my million dollar idea. Nobody steal it:

A coffee shop with as many electrical outlets as possible. EV charging stations out front. Nap rooms.

It will be called "Charge!" or "Recharge!" or something like that.

Also, many types of doctors are leaving or not moving here because their partners are OBs. Has any candidate mentioned doctors leaving the state? www.npr.org/sections/sho...
Iowa doesn't have enough OB-GYNs. Is the state's abortion ban part of the problem?
Iowa ranks last among states for the number of OB-GYNS per capita. State legislators are trying to recruit more, but some doctors say the state's strict abortion ban is partially to blame.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

The amount of time I spend flipping some people the bird is exhausting. Granted, we are emailing back and forth and they cannot see me, but truly exhausting.

Here are a few ways you can get involved right now.

1) Donate to your local food bank: Support your local food bank or mutual aid network with a financial gift to help feed families directly impacted by the shutdown.

If you are looking for ways to help your community, it is a good time to donate to your local food bank if you can.

My understanding from those who do this work is that $$ is the most effective donation at the moment, since food banks have existing relationships that can stretch your donation.
