There are a lot of advantages to Bluesky & it may very well be one of the morally grounded social media options
For now at least, though, I will post more often & more vocally on Threads & FB. Why?
Because there are more people there who need to hear how vile most modern conservative policies are

The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

Certainly, shitty bureaucrats exist like in any work/public sector. But these are the people doing the hard work of implementing often vague or complicated rules in workable ways. Removing millions of public workers to have a smaller number of people with vested interests decide is LESS democratic

I really didn’t want to be back on political posting in social media but here we are in this dangerous and tumultuous time. Doubt many will see what I say on various platforms. Don’t know how long I’ll be able to say the things without repercussions. But for now, I guess I’m back on my shit

I genuinely think we should start calling businesses and schools falling to the anti-DEI movement “segregationists” because they are re-segregating. And earlier rounds of segregationists *also* explained their preferred policy in race-neutral terms (“state’s rights” and “freedom of association”).
