funny how the lesson we can learn is always 'low regulation' and never 80% of residents live in subsidized public housing

“There’s just no correlation between what News Corp says and what voters do”

Laura Tingle's observation is not so much "a parting shot", as a statement of fact.

The tragedy is that so many of her colleagues still suck up to #MurdochGutterMedia. #auspol

Laura Tingle exits press gallery after 40 years with parting shot on News Corp’s election ‘irrelevance’

One of the best outcomes of #ausvotes:
the political influence of #MurdochGutterMedia is fast fading towards irrelevance.

Except for the fact the Liberal party looks likely to continue getting its policy direction from Sky After Dark. #auspol
The Murdoch press does not give a stuff about what Australians think. They tried, spectacularly unsuccessfully, to Trumpify our society and normalised hate and division.
Murdoch can now just f*vk off out of Australia

I’m really only just getting into it but I genuinely love birding as a hobby. The entire goal is to look at the bird. Is there a bird? There is a bird! Look at the bird! If you are very keen you can learn what to call the bird so that you can properly thank it for the joy you feel when you see it. 🪶

So Dutton's latest policy is to make long boozy business lunches tax deductible. I wonder if he'll have anything to offer working people to make their lives easier. He is so pathetic. #auspol

Last year, China installed more solar panels than the U.S. did in the last 20 years. China’s total installed solar energy capacity is now 600 GW.

There is no time to waste. Time to dump fossil fuels and embrace the renewable revolution.

IMPORTANT: The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart govts do the math on investing in better mobility.

Let’s be clear— it wastes public money to NOT do it.

Another idiot Qld LNP member trying to score political points off the Bruce Hwy. How many times do I have to say this? The program began in 2013 when you were in government.

We're exhausted over this. We don't care which party. We just want to see the budget line items. #qldpol

After a solid half hour of research I finally decided on LibraryThing as my not-Goodreads going forward.

Boody annoying to trawl through reviews & feature lists but I guess this is the world we're in now.
No single over-arching app or service for things.

Still can't decide if that's good or bad.

“At current rates, solar is on track to provide 12 per cent of global electricity in three years, 24 per cent in six years, and 48 per cent in less than a decade."
