Thoroughly enjoyed this book by @windell-oskay.bsky.social and @tubetime.bsky.social (with @righto.com).

Cool to see the insides of so many electronics, especially some of the older stuff (Dubiler cap!). And the section on how they did it was also cool.

Would love to illustrate some of these! 😉

*This is quite a good essay about being a generative plotter-artist. This is, like, the inky, haywire, art-hacker plotter-art real-deal there.

Hey creative coding folks!! I'm thinking about how to set up my dev/git environment for example, p5js/processing experiments.
Seems wise to keep images I generate outside of my repo (for commit size concerns), but how are YOU managing images? I obvs want to back them up / file / tag them? Software?

Would there be an audience for pen reviews specifically from the point of view of pen plotters? I broached the topic with JetPens, and got the "we'll think about it"

I’ve been running the pen plotter a little for the first time in a long time. Every time I do this I find myself wishing I had a bigger plotter. This is still true despite the fact that it was hard to justify the cost or space for one even when I was making art much more regularly.

I’m making a new batch of pocket #notebooks (and #postcards) today. It’s an accidental lesson in manufacturing tolerances. When you put a ruler to the paper to cut it, you find out that it’s not actually a rectangle and the size isn’t actually 8.5 by 11 inches. Just, hopefully, close enough

When I was a beginner to programming, I'd have write and run and rewrite a piece of code five times before it worked. Now that I'm more experienced, I still rewrite it five times, just without needing to run it in between.
