just discovered that there was a leak from someone involved in the restoration team revealing that Disney is, indeed, restoring the theatrical cuts of the original Star Wars trilogy! complete with screenshots!

I'm disgusted and saddened by the murder of Charlie Kirk. I don't agree with a single thing he stood for. I'm not going to celebrate his life but I also refuse to dance on his grave. I mourn for every victim of gun violence, no matter how shitty their beliefs. So sick of the bloodsheed.

I've seen so many behind-the-scenes videos about this stuff, and to this day it blows my mind that they pulled off a shot like this from Return of the Jedi with physical models and paintings and film compositing and optical tricks, over 40 years ago. Absolute movie magic.

I went to the African American History museum in DC a few years ago. One of the most powerful exhibits was this crib with the shackles suspended above. It’s heartbreaking and it *should* be. The thought of these white supremacist snowflakes ruining these museums fills me with rage I can’t describe.
