I work in L&D, with a sideline in theatre. My interests include green issues, interesting old cars (mainly 60s, 70s, and 80s everyday stuff), SiFi, Theatre, and writing. I have an unfinished novel; who doesn't?

A cosy village mystery collides with cosmic unease in this sharp, sci-fi tinged comedy.

We really don't need this dodgy company anywhere near our data.
Stop Palantir taking over our public services!
Our public services aren’t for a secretive profit-hungry US tech firm. Sign the petition to tell the Government to scrap all contracts with secretive US tech firm Palantir.

There's no end to the irony of the "fans" complaining about canon in newer Star Trek because if you know anything about the series you know that shit was always stitched together with duct tape and prayer.

Did you know the Klingon Bird-of-Prey in Star Trek III was originally intended to be Romulan?

Ah the good old days when there were grants for street theatre!
The small groups of monks who had taken up hanging around the major research institutes singing strange chants to the effect that the Universe was only a figment of its own imagination were eventually given a street theatre grant and went away.

Great Wall is planning a European factory with a planned production of 300,000 cars within just four years. That’s very impressive if they can pull it off. Pricing will be key.

You can't prove received wisdom wrong if you don't try... and you've got to give China credit for not being afraid to try. A step on the way to serious reduction of shipping emissions by 2050? Or an expensive experiment with niche coastal uses? Time will tell!

Honestly people what the fuck is going? There’s an anti vaxxer parent at our football team & they were encouraged to fuck off out of it.

Shame has to start happening
UK has lost its official status as a country that has achieved elimination of measles, as vaccination rates have fallen below the 95% required to achieve herd immunity. So sad, and likely due vaccine misinformation. If you haven't already, get your kids vaccinated ASAP. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Enjoyed this weeks @motoringpodcast.com particularly what seemed to be a plea by @ajpbradley.bsky.social to see that new Ferrari in person, preferably in Italy, perhaps Tuscany in the Spring.

Mandelson’s malign influence runs right through the heart of this Government.

Not least in the govt’s NHS data deal with Palantir – a spy-tech firm co-founded by a man who thinks the NHS should be ‘ripped up.’

I've written to Wes Streeting urging him to ditch this dangerous deal.
