Isn't he making the argument that is effectively 'let's make perfect the enemy of good'? An argument that would leave Progressives trying to sell better, but complex solutions to an electorate that really seems to like three-word slogans.

Triumph was proud of the 2000's eye-catching Michelotti body, and its six-cylinder engine was one-up on the Rover. Like its rival, many features were ahead of their time - this ensured both cars had a long production life, ironically ending up as bedfellows under British Leyland.
