Massive shoutout out to whoever handles the Royal Canadian Air Force’s social media account. They responded to every single comment on their already very solid Trans Day of Remembrance post and they responded like this…

It may not have much else going for it, but Gundam AGE does have the best space suit helmets.

In the decade-plus I've been making my weekly videos, Rebecca was the only developer to have jumped into my comments to clear up a point I was unclear about—then she graciously agreed to be on the podcast. I found her to be as generous and kind as she was talented. It's truly tragic that she's gone.

RIP to a games industry pioneer and legend, Rebecca Heineman (@burgerbecky.bsky.social) If your unfamiliar, look her up. Her career is like the story of videogames itself.

Stumbled across this excellent documentary video this morning about the history of manga in the USA. It has some terrific interviews that are definitely worth the watch.

I’m pretty sure we have a specific word that describes that. Pretty sure we fought a war over it too.
Was reminded by a friend that air traffic controllers are working without pay right now.

Surely if we put enough money into horse breeding we’ll eventually end up with a unicorn.
It's getting harder and harder to deny that AGI is a near certainty. This kind of rapid expansion, this level of investment and infrastructural shift, this amount of *risk* - it doesn't happen without astronomical reward. The other day I saw a big barn, which can only mean one thing: giant horses

My bigger issue at the moment is that I have 4 pills left and my pharmacy can’t seem to get more stock.
Reposting because, and I say this with love, some of you are going to see this and go “oh shit, I need to check my bottle” and then immediately forget about it so if this could affect you, go check right now before you even scroll to the next post, I mean it.
As a headsup for anyone on Vyvanse, you should go check your lot numbers.

I have been excitedly anticipating the arrival of this kit. One of the first gunpla I ever built, well before I had even seen first Gundam, was an SD version.

No but think about it: without piracy there'd be no Crunchyroll and the industry would be in a much healthier place.
Saw that Crunchyroll funded their own anime study, & when I scrolled down I couldn't stop laughing.

It’s even better when they don’t get appointed to the Supreme Court anyways.
I am now ready with a take: It is good when negative things about candidates come out before people vote rather than after they vote.

Finally got enough cleaning done in the garage that I could set up some shelving and get my gunpla backlog out of my office.
It had grown to be… substantial.

It’s very different watching Gundam 00 now vs when it first aired. At the time I had only seen some of seed, and most of the UC OVAs. I knew just enough to pick up that season 1 was kinda riffing on Wing, but completely missed the Zeta angle of Season 2.

Really impressed with Bandai’s HG kits in the last couple of years. They’ve really stepped things up from the early kits I first started with.
