How did we let modern life absolutely rinse us for no reason? Download the app to park, pay a £1 admin fee for using the app, choose between 1hr or 10hrs of parking, mandatory text reminders with 15 mins of parking left (at 50p per text). Just roll it all into the price and don’t piss me off.

My “chat” podcasts, like Comfort Blanket, are snipped down from 90 mins to around 50 mins, then illustrated with clips. They take anything from 1-3 working days to edit, usually involving multiple drafts, cutting and rearranging material.

On video that same process would take weeks. So they don’t.

So glad to see this written about. It takes 4 - 6 (or more!) human labor hours of editing, mixing and mastering to make a 90 minute conversation flow nicely and artfully. Video-forward shows tend to excise this process entirely and the resultant conversations flow and sound like shit as a result.
