No one really appreciates how much work it takes every day to be exactly one of the turtles all the way down
One problem with the unitary executive theory, aside from making it easy for a president to mow down mewling babies, is that it will lead to more drastic changes between administrations, so no confidence in planning anything. What’s that you say? There won’t be any other administrations? Mr Roberts?

Can headline editors please lose the “what to know” tick? Don’t tell me what to know. Tell me what *you* know.

Thank you.

#humanevolutionnews This Denisovan skull from China is far older than we imagined!!

If Denisovans are this old then what else?

"There are likely to be million year-old fossils of Homo sapiens somewhere - we just haven't found them yet" 😮

Million-year-old skull rewrites human evolution, say scientists
New analysis suggests our species began to emerge at least half a million years earlier than we thought

Adelita Grijalva won her election fair and square.

Now House Speaker Mike Johnson is refusing to swear her in because she would be the final signature to release the Epstein files.

Mr. Speaker, respect democracy. Obey the law. Swear Representative Grijalva in immediately.

An actual hot take: Too many authors are afraid of editors watering down their voice or whatever and not afraid enough of editors letting you put any old slop on the page.

In 1999, Bill Clinton announced that “the last, best unprotected wild lands anywhere in our nation” would be shielded by a new rule that banned roads and drilling.

Today, these lands could soon see chainsaws and logging trucks amid a push by Trump to raze these ecosystems for timber.
Outcry as Trump plots the plunder of US forests: "You can almost hear the chainsaws"
Public comments suggest repealing the Clinton-era "roadless rule" is wildly unpopular.
