Update: As Part of Our New Contract with America, I propose a new national anthem: “America,” by Neil Diamond, one of the greatest singers and songwriters in our History, who composed this:

Honestly no idea why we were paying $12.99/mo for that.

Which reminds me: I hate streaming taxes.

Uh, I would ask this case be dismissed with prejudice.

The complaint claims he was compared to Barri Weiss, but “Unlike Taibbi, Barri …” is clearly a contrast. Literally says Matt is unlike Barri.

Fire your lawyer.
The only thing more insane than Matt Taibbi suing Eoin Higgins is Matt suing him for comparing him to Bari Weiss

Under a doctrine embraced by SCOTUS, Trump could threaten or kill a Supreme Court Justice, and be punishable only by Impeachment.

But, as the popularity of an Elected Dictator wanes, so does his power, correct @beschlossdc1776.bsky.social ?

A lame duck Prez at 33% has little juice. 1/2
The number of threats against judges has tripled over the last decade, not just when Trump has been in office, Chief Justice John Roberts said in his annual report on the judiciary last year.

I am trying to imagine all of those suburban kids on 294 through Harvey.

All the Lincoln Parkers merging on to the Skyway for the first time.

Waukegan/Gurnee would be better.

@wbez.org should host a “Merry F#cking XMas” Party 12/23/26 at @navypier.bsky.social with @iraglass.bsky.social and a contest to see who has the worst Christmas story.

Like

I know what @katmabu.bsky.social is doing here.

But @evanstonnow.bsky.social @aclu.org @aoc.bsky.social @sanders.senate.gov are all on X because we will never make progress if we only preach to the converted.

You have to be willing to be booed, make mistakes, listen, @danielbiss.bsky.social .
Kat had been largely off X for a while the past few months only occasionally posting larger updates on the site

For a while she was posting on both but after the protests in Broadview and the attention it attracted in conservative media it seems she moved mostly over here
This has always been a Bluesky-first campaign. But as of today, we will no longer be using Twitter. At all.

And I'm calling on other candidates to follow suit.

As seen on @capitolfax.bsky.social .

I think @trackaipac.com working for Fine helps @danielbiss.bsky.social.

AIPAC is not a “Jan Fan” and has worked to defeat her.

Most pundits will say that Fine denying she has AIPAC support only makes it more newsworthy. @capitolfax.bsky.social

Essentially: Congress did not allow the President to backdoor into domestic military deployment via the National Guard. That was, in fact, exactly what the law was trying to prevent.
Wow. Genuinely shocked, and a hugely consequential decision.

Importantly, this is a case where @martylederman.bsky.social's amicus brief appears to have made a MAJOR impact. Before he wrote it, courts were sidestepping the "regular forces" issue entirely. And that's what the Trump admin lost on.
NEW: By a 6-3 vote, the Supreme Court blocks Trump’s deployment of the National Guard to Chicago to assist immigration agents. A majority holds that he likely lacks authority to do so. Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch dissent. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...

Tremendous resources are being wasted, too. Agents who normally hunt down drug lords and sex traffickers are instead deployed to round up roofers and painters.

2) Bondi follows Trump’s orders. Stop blaming the minions.

My totally speculative theory on CBS is that when the WH saw the story, someone called an Ellison, who called Bari Weiss in a panic over the Warner Bros. bid, ordered her to kill it

Only a non-journalist (Ellison) would be too dumb not to understand killing the story just made things 100X worse

If 60 minutes refuses to run a story on Trump because he will not officially comment, then 60 Minutes must apply that policy to everyone.
"'If the administration’s refusal to participate becomes a valid reason to spike a story, we have effectively handed them a "kill switch" for any reporting they find inconvenient,' Ms. Alfonsi wrote."
