I have but one regret leaving Twitter all those years ago, and that is knowing I’ll probably never again feel the pride at being followed by one of the greatest political statesmen of modern times, @barackobama.bsky.social

I am delighted to see The Green Man's Holiday on the BSFA Awards longlist. Inclusion in this preliminary stage of the awards process is a great compliment. Writing the Magic is also listed in the Non-Fiction category, rewarding all the contributors' and editors' work.

This might be the best review I've ever had for anything I've ever written. My mind is blown. Thank you so much, Jim and Ginger Nuts! A fantastically detailed and inciteful review. It's so cool when someone absolutely gets what you're trying to put down. Wow.

One of the most humbling moments as a writer is when someone asks if they can edit an anthology, set in a world you have created. This happened a few years ago, and I’m so grateful to David T Griffith for adeptly steering this title through the A QUIET APOCALYPSE universe.

This is an excellent long read on love and language in Clive Barker’s HELLRAISER. For all us hellbound hearts, @kitwhitfield.bsky.social has hit the nail (pin?) on the head.

Omnibus editions of my dystopian series A Quiet APOCALYPSE arrive courtesy of my publisher. A sad sign of the times, perhaps, but requests for and sales of copies are on the increase. Also included, a photo of Deaf activist and Emmy nominated director, Nyle DiMarco, a staunch advocate of the series.

Grimdark with Gaelic teeth. Raven Dane’s ‘Bailfire and Brimstone’ is a revenge-soaked trek through a rotten 1600s. Morally grey characters meet folklore monsters in a book where the atmosphere is the true protagonist. Gritty and compelling.

I think the Stranger Things ‘secret episode’ rumour kind of sums up the internet fandom mindset, and that’s “I think, therefore it is”. Reality isn’t quite as easy.
