I am going to build the platform i want to see from democrats going forward. Here’s the beginning of my list:
1. Every single person on the trump admin and govt that committed crimes gets prosecuted under state law and sent to prison. That includes BP and ICE, DOGE, etc. (con’t)

Conservatives suddenly pretending like it is a big reveal that signal group chats for movement organizers exist after planning airstrikes in Iran and sharing classified information with unvetted participants in a Signal group chat sure is something.

Here's how to identify some crowd control munitions, canisters of which federal agents have left on the ground after deploying them against people in Minnesota. bit.ly/3YWp1jE

Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump.

Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.

🧵 @jburnmurdoch.ft.com is spot on about the conditions in his FT piece. Liberal democracy held it together thanks to growth, good demographics, and the promise of a better future. Those days are gone, and that’s the "why" behind the erosion. However...
Democratic politicians have, though, pursued growth in GDP at the expense of other values. One response to @jburnmurdoch.ft.com pessimistic scenario is refocus on those values, combined with egalitarianism, sufficiency and quality of life. Not "it's the economy, stupid" but "it's the the society"
Is liberal democracy in terminal decline?
The old system worked under a set of conditions that are no longer present

This witness to Alex Pretti's murder not only refutes the governmen't story, but says she is afraid to go home because federal agents might arrest her. This is what it feels like to live under state terror.

If this is what they do when they're out on the street with people pointing cameras at them, what do you think is happening inside the ICE prison camps that they keep denying Members of Congress access to?

Exactly where i’m at: “it is now my life mission to destroy all that you stand for at all costs”
Something I don’t think polling fully captures is the intensity of unpopularity. “Strongly disapprove” covers a wide range of attitudes. There’s “this sucks” strongly disapprove and there’s “it is now my life mission to destroy all that you stand for at all costs” strongly disapprove.
the incredulous "this is bullshit, are you fucking kidding" tone here is a sign that you have turned someone into a lifelong radical against you and people like you

this is a stupid tactic used by stupid people who don't have any other ideas

And this won’t shield them from civil litigation on civil eights violations
1/The law requires a judicial warrant based on probable cause signed by a judge to enter a home or private area in a biz (not an administrative one signed by an “immigration authority” ie a DHS employee). This is clearly unlawful conduct. ICE can’t change the law just because it doesn’t like it.

This is modeled on Putin’s control of Russia, yes? I mean how is it different?
I’ve been reading Trump’s "Board of Peace Charter," and despite the name, this isn’t a multilateral institution, it’s a centralised structure built entirely around the authority of one person (Trump).
