Last loaf of 2025 is the alcohol free Guinness sourdough, I think my most successful bread recipe iteration this year. Happy new year to you and all the best for 2026 💪🏻

No shade but personally I really don’t like it when ‘resilience’ is referenced as a quality / competency / criteria in a job description. I mean, tell people it’s going to be hard and you can’t do anything about it why don’t you.

For the avoidance of doubt when I saw “there is a crisp aftertaste” I mean there is an aftertaste of crisps I didn’t accidentally make Riesling bread.
The bread tastes… ok? The crisp fragments are crunchy in the crust. It is very soft. There is a crisp aftertaste.
I think I have learned enough to execute this better next time.

Our tree died 😭 The council team came and took it away. Then I got an email explaining and saying it will be replaced, which I think is great

Autumn colours look pretty awesome from a quick search of the species. And apparently when it drops leaves it smells slightly of caramel?! Lucked out here I feel
