The new Custodes minis look awesome. They have such poise and elegance now. I'd never really liked Custodes, and had always thought even if they added femme options, I'd be happy, but still not interested in the faction but now... oh no, they look cool! 😆

So I hadn't really engaged with the new version of D&D at all, but I want to teach my niece to play TTRPGs, and it made sense to teach her the newest version of the most popular one. I'm not sure how much I vibe with the decision to try to stop people skipping lv 1 by dumping complexity on newbies.

I swear one of the worst things about criticising someone using AI for content is how many of them are desperate to win you over to validate their weak excuse for why they "have to" use it.

Besides the "frieren on the hard angle" artist, that people are being very supportive on their art journey on twitter, people also are cheering on this artist that gave up on AI recently and now trying to improve their own art.

I think I just realised why I can sometimes just... tell something is AI before I scrutinise for details to prove it to others. It's because AI is rendered like high level pro art, but composed like beginner work, and that's really rare in an actual artist.

using AI to iterate might get you a tone of shit on a page, but what it doesn't do is get you thinking about the story and the systems. when i outline something, half of it is to tell the story to myself. skipping that step is like skipping your warmup and then trying to swim ten miles

By the way, my move from Spotify to Qobuz was pretty painless. The tool for migrating playlists worked well, and the default sound quality is actually a little better. Only thing I'm missing are some JRPG soundtracks and a bunch of anime songs (but at least Frieren and FMA are there).
