I work with kids on social emotional learning. This attitude doesn't surprise me, but what she forgot to include was that they don't have the same tolerance when htheir kid gets punched or bullied by someone else's kid whose parents feel the same way.

We just fired someone the other week, and while strike 3 was infact them screwing up something technical, the first 2 strikes were them horribly failing to work well with others, and their lack of emotional intelligence in dealing with the mistake was what make a mistake job terminating.

I did pageants from age 4 until age 20 (surprise to those who didn't know considering what I look like now) and I cannot appropriately express how OBSESSED I am with this being her choice for talent. Like, yeah, it's cool as hell, but this is SO unheard of in this space.
