I predict the 2024/2025 summer will be AWFUL here. We got to 43ºC IN DECEMBER. This is a very bad sign. Also humidity has been AWFUL. We’re having a couple of days’ break then we’re back to 30+º on the weekend.

Looked it up. Donohue, the author here, is the president of the Catholic League, & also an adjunct scholar with the Heritage Foundation. It has been his life’s mission to defend sexual abuse in the Catholic Church and he is using Kelly’s statements as a further justification in his argument.

I thought the Indeed AI Work Report was pretty fascinating. In particular this chart that goes skill by skill and breaks down how much each will be transformed by AI. It reinforces that few jobs will go away completely due to AI, but the vast majority will be transformed by it to some degree.

I can’t tell from this picture. Were they glorifying Auschwitz as a potential future for US prisoners? Or were they trying to teach the kids the horrors of the holocaust, which appears to be Trump/Project2025/Miller & Vought’s blueprint?

The float was for a Catholic school, and to their credit the church immediately disavowed it.
Thing is, I don’t think high school kids did this entirely on their own. I’m guessing parents had to be involved.
