The lesson Trump's admin has taught all of us is that comically evil characters in any piece of fiction might actually just be realistically evil. I expect Captain Planet villains to be appointed to the EPA if they haven't already.
It’s crazy being a narrative designer who wrote fake emails and seeing this many real emails from rich evil people with brainworms and going “sheesh even when I had to be extremely on the nose to clarify objectives and shit I was still leagues more subtle and human-sounding than THIS”

Well, on one hand, you have Joyce Carol Oates an amazing author, while on the other hand you have Elon Musk, who puts books in his Juicero and drinks them on Joe Rogan to get the "Thought taste" out of them. It's much more efficient.
