Liberal, writer, nerd, geek, EMT, Church of Gnome minister, Delta Chi fraternity alum, former wine bar owner, cheese mechanic and lover of the wacky. I am a meat popsicle. Also, FUCK TRUMP and his whole shitshow administration.
Someone should remind Megyn Kelly that anyone over the age of 17 who has sex with 15 years-old girls is subject to state statutory rape laws and trafficking them for sex is a federal felony punishable by decades in prison.

Keep reposting this. All we’re doing is going around the world murdering people.
The furor over the death of a Colombian fisherman has ignited a feud over the huge U.S. military buildup in the Caribbean and the legality of the deadly attacks on nearly 20 vessels since September.

The entire world is waking to climate change and our Supreme Leader still says it’s a hoax. I can’t help but feel this is aimed directly at him.
For the first time in the COP process, the agenda has formally recognized the crisis of information integrity. Nations have signed a pledge to combat misinformation and disinformation about climate science and action.

There was a point at which media leaned liberal. Those days passed about 20 years ago.
As @rbreich.bsky.social notes billionaires and their families own X, Paramount, CBS, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, the Washington Post, Amazon, MGM, Fox News, the Wall Street Journal and New York Post, and could soon own Warner Bros and CNN

And they are all Trump supporters

"Liberal media" indeed

Say what you will about Joe Biden and his presidency, but I did not wake up every day with a sense of dread. I did not fear that my neighbors would be raided and taken away by the Brown Shirts. I did not fear that the Presidents nonsensical antics would cause me financial ruin.

Now ICE agents shoot women just for being liberal and cry on the stand about being lightly hit with a wrapped sub sandwich
Remember 25 years ago when a photo was taken of a fed pointing a gun at a crying refugee child and the image was so shameful it dominated the news cycle for a year

What we are experiencing in America has never really happened to us before. We were the nation of liberty that defeated a superpower and showed France the way to freedom. Now we, much like the Israelis, have become the nightmares we used to talk about in history class.
Nuremburg trials is the moderate position
He said that the agents would throw food at them to eat. The agents threatened to withhold food for a week and to beat him up if he didn't sign deportation papers. He said he saw others refuse and get beaten/receive no food. He signed because he was afraid.

And yet the President of the United States says solar power is useless.
Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

This FBI COULD NOT BE more incompetent. But that's what you get when you put Kash Patel in as its head.
an FBI official says the alleged NBA gambling ring involves the "Toronto Rangers" (not a real team), which doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the quality of their investigation

@mikenellis.bsky.social Hey, ask your father if he thinks kicking the press corps out of the Pentagon and then forbidding Congress from overseeing the Pentagon without Hegseth's approval - which is their responsibility - signals anything underhanded to him.

You know, just in case the fact that ICE shot the federal Marshal was relevant
Both the U.S. marshal and the immigrant were shot by federal officers. You’d never know that from this headline.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but a government shutdown should have happened originally. It was in our favor then. But Schumer and team fucked that up. Now, Trump has the shutdown he wants. He doesn’t care about the American people or federal workers. He has no interest in seeing this end.

It should be noted at this point that the US is now doubling its bailout of Argentina to $40 BILLION.

The entire USAID budget - which saves hundreds of thousands of lives each year and was a boon to our farmers - was $35 billion.

Instead, we are bailing out a fascist regime.

It's beyond the pale stupid for these states to have been put in the position where they had to do this...but I am super glad they did.
15 US states and territories have formed a new Public Health Alliance, which will counter the absence of federal leadership by tracking outbreaks, issuing guidance, buying vaccines and more.

Members of the new alliance include CA, CO, CT, DE, GU, HI, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, NC, OR, RI, WA.

Yesterday, Trump called Netanyahu Israel's "greatest wartime president" and said he was "courageous" for ending the slaughter of thousands of Palestinians. Only a dictator could truly honor a war criminal. I would love to see them both in matching cells in the Hague.

I am just going to go out on a limb here and say, "No, the fuck its not." CNN is going to stand there and tell me that Bourbon producers in KENTUCKY didn't bring this on themselves? 64% of the voters in Kentucky went for Trump.

Voters need to realize voting for clowns isn't as funny as they think.

Even fucking Newsmax has enough sense to say that this move is shady as all hell. For those not in the know, the Pentagon published new rules for journalists and gave them an ultimatum - sign a pledge of agreement or turn in your credentials. Many orgs just said "No."

Its very easy for people to call the media biased toward the left, but these days, that could not be further from the truth. Here is an op-ed from the editorial board of WaPo demonstrating a staggering ignorance and pro-right-wing stance on criminal acts.
