Stop with the “extreme MAGA Republicans” shit, it’s ALL of them. Every last one is just awful man.

Republicans are stealing your benefits and crippling our country.

Done, see how easy that is.

KEEP SHARING YOUR STORIES about increased ACA premiums due to the disappearance of subsidies. The stories clearly are having an impact, they help people feel less helpless, and they create solidarity that leads to action.

Mine went from $395→ $821. What happened for you?

They're running from it now. But the fact that Senate Republicans tried to give 10 of their colleagues at least $1 million each for nothing but a bogus press op captures the corruption of Trump II. In no other environment wld this even occur to the most corrupt politicians.

Reporter: Was it your brain?

Trump: I have no idea what they analyzed, but whatever they analyzed, they analyzed it well.

Nancy Pelosi was a groundbreaking Speaker, but she was too focused on getting Democrats to respect the will of their voters.

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

Democrats have to stop bailing out Republicans from facing the consequences of their own policies. And yeah, that means they have to stop sparing voters from experiencing what GOP government truly means.

Every time Dems step in, it only emboldens the GOP & they make it even worse the next time.
So Democrats get:

1. A CR that will prevent the GOP from facing the wrath of Americans for a shutdown over the holidays

2. A coupon for one (1) meaningless ACA vote that will fail

3. An end to the illegal RIF/SNAP moves that are already before the courts

Those all seem like wins for the GOP.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

It doesn't actually matter if Chuck Schumer votes for this or not.

If he can't keep his caucus unified to protect healthcare for over 10 million Americans, he should resign as leader.

I’m done with these old cowardly fucks in the party. I played the party guy while they dithered, waffled, and tried to finesse everything. No more.

Damn, long term elected Democrats are just worthless.

Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Part of the effort to rewrite the history of the pandemic into one where "it was annoying because of nanny-state Democratic overreach" requires actively forgetting that it was a big deal because *more than a million Americans died*—literally hundreds of thousands needlessly due to political sabotage
A million Americans died from Covid. Denial doesn't make those deaths go away. We should have a day of remembrance for those souls, not bury the truth.
This is part of the war over How We Remember the Pandemic

Always remember the truth: it was a big deal, most regular people were sensible at the time, the anti-vaccine craziness set in late & has been trying to rewrite history ever since
