I worked for a multinational company and I have a multinational family, we span five countries and three continents. From that perspective and a lifetime of travelling I know that languages and cultures are different, but we are just people who have learned to live together. It can be done.
Only an absolute fool would try to predict the outcome of this Dutch election. Any of five parties could finish first, though Wilders is still the favourite. But the real question is who will be the best of the rest, since he has no chance of forming the next coalition.

I’m surprised the NYT would choose a term like this, but it clearly has different cultural meanings.

As a Dutch person, it is truly difficult for me to understand why a large part of the UK population is so stuck on war heroics and anti-EU and anti-French rhetoric.

Grow up. It is 2025 and Europe (including the UK) has bigger fish to fry than these historic hung ups.

Peter Lever was one of my heroes in the One Day Wonders, Lancashire team of the late 60’s early 70’s. I watched him many times at Old Trafford, together with Ken Shuttleworth they were a leathal bowling partnership. Rest in peace Peter and thanks for the memories !

We have a rare alignment in our bin collections this week, grey bin tomorrow, green bin on Friday, then blue bin on Saturday. I don’t know how I will contain my excitement.

Have you seen any of these visitors on your patch before?

When I wake up, I can't always face the reality of news, social media or the day's to-do list. I often start the day with just a few funny clips, music, an audio book, or just a quiet cup of coffee. Ease yourself into the day. Give yourself a good start.

#GoodMorning, everyone.

I suppose one advantage of internet banking is, as we don’t write cheques anymore, we don’t keep writing the wrong year in January.
Happy New Year everyone.

Just think, all those people who attend the Jools Holland “Hootenanny” on NYE, I wonder how they get home afterwards at that time of night ?😉
