On the issue of Brexit I think Starmer’s government are better, Sunak was a committed leaver.
Sunak’s CX Hunt took 2p off NI which was irresponsible.
Labour give the impression of being hopelessly disorganised but have put through a few decent changes, they just haven’t communicated with people.

I’m curious if there are similar plans in the Netherlands ? Here, I would guess there is a larger proportion of owner occupied houses with EVs and home chargers, also in the UK, in comparison to Germany where traditionally more people live in apartments.

Is this a repeat, or where you on a different episode a few weeks ago ? It’s an excellent programme I really enjoy listening to it.

I bumped into DH on the steps of Leeds Town Hall on one of the General Election nights in 1974. His youngest daughter was also at Leeds University at the time.

I once stayed in a Student hostel next door to Les Halles in the 1960’s, no alarm clocks required to wake up in the morning.

At the last election Wilders got 23% and was supposed to herald the advance of the far right in Europe. D66 gained 17 seats possibly 18, they are the big winners and they take the lead in attempting to form a coalition, that’s the way it is with PR.

Was er misschien een sterke toename in de woningbouw op de Waddeneilanden in het begin van de 19e eeuw?

Many years ago I read a book called “The Limits to Growth“ it was based on economic and resource model projections, which proved to be inaccurate. Could it’s predictions have been right after all, but for the wrong reasons ?

Thanks for all your reporting and analysis Mr. D. will you be live posting here tomorrow night? I know you’ll have a podcast out at sometime in the evening.

To listen or not to listen ? I didn’t listen to Hunt pushing his book, I try to avoid Osborne add Balls, but sometimes I think I should step outside my centre left bubble and hear what the other side has to say. The trouble is they’re so obnoxious.

It always used to be one of the options for cross channel ferries, which we used on a number of occasions in 90’s & 00’s. I have a feeling they have stopped running them now ?

I find watching my local broadcast with non English commentators irritating as they often get the players mixed up, so I have managed to replace the commentators with the 5Live broadcast, it takes a bit of fiddling with the remote to synchronise the commentary with the picture but it’s much better.

My dad was stationed there at one point during the war. I think it was originally an airfield for training ?

Try one of the universities in the Netherlands, on cold windless nights over here we have local bans on using wood burning stoves or open hearths as they are known here, search for “Open haardverbod” or “Stookverbod”
