I know that StreetPass didn't hit mass adoption and it wouldn't have been wise for Nintendo to keep pushing it, but I sure miss it. The joy of travelling to new places, opening up my bag and seeing that little notification light on my 3DS was unlike any other.
With the loneliness epidemic on the rise, we could use the Nintendo 3DS's StreetPass feature and the sense of togetherness it fostered more than ever. @faroukk.bsky.social on the decline of physical community in gaming:
