Review from Korea! A very exciting one for a Devil’s Plan fan.

I've been playing Fallout '76 for a few hours now and my review is: 🎵Country roads...take me home! To the place I belong: West Virginia, mountain mama, take me home country roads. 🎵

brass solidarity band performing “stand by me” in the streets of whittier next to alex pretti’s memorial. the crowd started chanting “the people united will never be defeated” so they incorporated it into the song. i love minneapolis

Sitting down for like the fourth time today saying "Okay, time to start doing Work" and instead scrolling for news out of Minnesota.

Okay, since I’m in a mood, do you know what is annoying mild *annoyance* about all this, rather than a gut-wrenching crisis?

I’m not a Christian but my sense of fairness keeps requiring me to defend the church because people keep posting shit about “Why aren’t Christians speaking up?!”

Other folks have already noted much of this, but I think the MAGA 'theory of victory' here is:
1) DHS provocations trigger a riot or attack on agents which
2) Leads to widespread civil unrest in many 'blue' cities so that
3) Trump can invoke the insurrection act and send in the troops...
Curious if anyone has a plausible theory of victory for the administration if it were to invoke the Insurrection Act.

How does the administration "win" in such a scenario?

Best I can tell, it is magical thinking by a certain somebody at the White House, but maybe I'm missing something.

The thing about knowing writers is when they say "I finished my book!" you have to clarify: "Reading or writing?"

If you’re struggling, I’m copy pasting what a trauma therapist friend suggested here:

“Highly recommend dunking your face in a bowl of cold water, drinking some water to help your body flush the adrenaline and finding something to smell or touch for grounding and avoiding dissociation”

So, are ICE the ONLY murderers in the Twin Cities so far this year, or just the ones with the highest body counts?
January 24, 2026 at 7:22 PM
I saw a protestor carrying a "Trump Out; 🚫ICE" sign just at the town square today.

I'm in a small town in Central Massachusetts. Nowhere near the action.

My normie family sent photos of themselves marching in outstate MN carrying a Bible verse. (Lev 19:35 I think?)

People are angry.

Am I joining the general strike, or as a freelance writer, editor, and game dev, is my day-to-day life indistinguishable from not working?

Just watched 8 episodes of a promising weird comedy (because I'm a sucker for Stephanie Hsu) only to find that it was canceled after those 8 episodes.

Grr and also arrg.

I think it's very fitting that the Revolutionary HQ of Minneapolis is a sex shop (that DOES NOT have a glory hole) and Revolutionary HQ of Saint Paul is a toy store where you can get Settlers of Catan.

If you need a little idealistic escapism right now with a fantasy of a President and White House who actually give a shit, the West Wing is on Netflix at the moment.

I can't imagine why I'd find that so appealing right now.

Wait Wait Don't Tell me dropping an episode where the three call-in contestants are a person from Boston, one from Minneapolis, and one with a huge board game collection, and somehow none of them are me?

Same with board game designers.
Please, never be shy telling an author you loved their books.

It’s seriously what gets us through.

The poet once said

Time is short and here's the damn thing about it:
You're gonna die; you're gonna die for sure.
Now you can learn to live with love or without it,
But there ain't no cure.

And man, he was right. He was right.

There's some game on Steam that keeps pushing ads across my YouTube feed (I'm trying to watch Legal Eagle's dissection of the murder of Ms. Good), and the trailers make the game look extremely, extremely awful, ugly, badly acted, and the logo is illegible so I don't know what it's called.
