Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

Am I the only one being bombarded by messages from accounts saying they’re from Gaza and to donate money? I am sympathetic to the cause in Gaza and I have donated to the Red Cross, but be careful. If you don’t know who/what the account represents, I would stay away from sending any money.

As I stated in an earlier post, Trump is gaslighting us yet again when he claims crime is out of control in DC. It ignores the reality that crime is actually down by about 26% this year, to its lowest level in decades.
