Until 1968, America was about dynasties. Anti-Feds dominates with Jefferson’s presidency and goes over the first half of the 19th century, then the Rs begun by Lincoln until FDR in 1932, then the Dems until 1968. That was the norm. This ever shifting political alignment we see these days is weird.

He doesn’t need to anymore. He has no more elections to run in. If he remains in power, it’s a dictatorship. Either way, it’s pointless unless he needs to solidify his hold over the base because he fears revolt.

Always document even the smallest interactions with this federal government. If you’re in the chain of command of a military mission, it’s even more important. That way you’re covered if you are ever forced to disobey an unlawful order.
