Confession time; I've always struggled with the idea that Alvarezsaurs used their arms to dig up insect nests. I don't have a data-based argument to back it up & I know I'm going against the consensus, but it intuitively feels off to me. Their arms are SO short compared to other digging insectivores

I actually had a dream about this critter last night, & I'm now fully convinced Alvarezsaurs weren't nest-cracking insectivores, but travelling trouble-makers. More corvid than pangolin
I think my new years resolution has to be no more new projects.
So far for 2026 I have; 3 uni modules including my dissertation; at least 2 research projects; the museum reopening; designing a school workshop; organising a science fair; field work & (potentially) volunteering at a big convention
