AI ‘artist’ creates portrait of King Charles. To no one’s surprise, it looks like a bad photo that a dog who’s eaten some putrid spaghetti has vomited all over.
AI is incapable of art. It’s an expensive photocopier, nothing more. Stop pretending it can replace humans.

I can't believe Daft Punk's One More Time is now 25 years old. The album Discovery completely blew my mind when it was released in 2001. One of the most effervescent bits of creativity I've ever heard. We need Daft Punk back in our lives now more than ever.

I'm one of those cinema goers that sticks around and watches the credits. Boy, I'm glad I did when this beautiful piece, a mash up by Robbie Robertson of The Band, popped up over the closing credits for Scorsese's magnificent Shutter Island.

Fox - Only You Can, Top Of The Pops 1975. Noosha Fox (real name Susan Traynor) had a wonderfully idiosyncratic vocal style which, undoubtedly, influenced a young Kate Bush. This was only about three years before the release of Wuthering Heights.

Great fun watching Young Frankenstein this afternoon. A gorgeous tribute to Universal's Frankenstein films, ravishingly designed and photographed, with a beautiful score from the great John Morris. Fabulous!
