9 bags done now, and that's the first phase of the castle itself finished. Just a couple of trees to build, then probably a short break before launching into phase 2 - the Bergfried.

Ah, the joys of a classic snowy day burst water pipe on the street when you have a hungry baby and no clean bottles. I managed to get the last large bottle of water in the Co-op but I don't think that's going to last too long.
And now our water's out so I can't sterilise any bottles for the baby. Not my day.

Been waiting for months for the 3rd expansion to come back into stock. Yesterday I put in an order for a couple of other expansions as my birthday's coming up. 3rd expansion back in stock today. Grrr. I've ordered it but it means I get hit twice for international postage and customs handling charge.
8 out of 10 bags done. It's really coming together now. Definitely has more presence in person than it does in the online photos.

Cut myself on a raw fish.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

😅

I know this is a supremely orthodox take, but Clair Obscur is really good, isn't it? I only got it at Christmas and get the odd hour here and there for games which I have to split with Silksong, so I'm still early on, but it's shaping up to be the best Final Fantasy game in 20 years? 25?

Well, weaning has certainly shaken up the tired old nappy-change routine. Trust me, you don't want details.
Baby did very well trying spinach for the first time yesterday. She just pooed it out and... my word... the smell was bad enough but nothing quite prepares you for a nappy full of leaves.

Just finishing off a camembert I baked yesterday and rebaked today. In case anyone finds me expired from cheese-induced heart failure.

Am I a bad person for laughing at this?

Today would have been my dad's 67th birthday. Strange to think we've already been without him for nearly 12 years. He just about met my wife but I do wish he'd got to meet our daughter.

Bag 7 done. Lots of modifications over the last couple of bags to incorporate the lighting. It was a real headache to route those wires, but I'm glad I did it - it adds a lot of atmosphere.

Happy New Year to all the other introverts who don't want to be pressured into going to parties or pointlessly staying up past when they want to go to sleep. A quiet and restful night to us all!

Another thing I love about Blake's 7 is that there are only 6 of them. And that's only if you count Blake himself, which seems a bit generous. Blake is such a 'Sorry, son. I tried to get 7 but these were the only people in the pub who wanted to come' kind of revolutionary.
I like the way the costumes are all utterly bizarre, from Blake's shit-brown tarp to Gan's panto genie/pirate costume and Avon's bondage outfit, and then you have Jenna in the middle of it just dressed like a 1980s primary school teacher.

Is there a brown lightsaber in Star Wars because Blake would wield it

Got Blake's 7 season 2 for Christmas. Just started it and right from the outset there's a big mystery to be solved:

Just what *is* everyone wearing?

And understand, I ask that as someone who has seen all of classic Doctor Who multiple times.

The Toymaker won in the end, then.
