Nearly everything Trump is doing now was laid out in my 2020 bestseller HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT, which apparently was indeed hiding in plain sight. The book has a transcript of Trump explaining his plan in 2014. It also lays out the current plans of his partners. All of this could have been prevented.
"In other countries, this would be called 'an authoritarian coup.' In America, mealy-mouthed officials call our transition into a mafia state 'deeply troubling' and do little to curb the damage."

What can the rise of "WEIRD" and its quick murder at the hands of consultants teach us about the Democrats' messaging crisis?

For @gilduran.com and @george-lakoff.com's @theframelab.bsky.social, I looked at why elected Democrats fear pleasing their base.
What 'Weird' Reveals About the Democrats' Messaging Crisis
There are no magic words. But moral attacks your base loves are the core of a winning strategy.

it worries me when the narrative about trump is that “it’s dumbasses that don’t know what they’re doing”. they know exactly what they’re doing. peter thiel is a close ally of trump and owns JD vance. peter thiel is a believer in curtis yarvin thought, which is 100% in line with what’s happening

The two most powerful Republican politicians in America - the president and co-president of the United States - are publicly praising and defending and excusing the crimes of a far-right foreign politician who leads a party founded by a Holocaust-denying neo-Nazi.

We are in a very, very dark place.

Trump and Elon are ignoring the more than 32m entrepreneurs that can't afford to build a new factory or pay tariffs or absorb cancelled contracts.

People need to be crystal clear about something: The requirement that the government ANSWER to a court on the legal basis for detaining someone is literally the core liberty right (habeas corpus). If the government says they don’t have to do that bc “national security,” YOU can be disappeared.
