I have published Delve 0.4.0! Still incomplete but I think it is feeling even more like a game than 0.3.3.

Please play my dumb roguelike game and let me know what you think!

Binaries are available for macOS (apple silicon and x64) and Windows!

details probably only I care about. The smithy in town should have a sign beside its door and a path leading to the centre of town but something is up.

Random person who plays indie games, you are the most important cog in an indie game's success.

Most gamers don't know or care that indies exist.... unless a friend tells them.

Our games succeed because you tell other people you liked our game. Word of mouth is the best marketing there is.

There was that article a few years ago about how ORMs are the Vietnam War of computer science, but UI tweaks have to be a close second.

Anyhow, I noticed NPC barks were getting chopped off if they were wider than the view area so had to fix that:

For #FossilFriday & in honor of @alinemghilardi.bsky.social & colleagues' fantastic discovery of a new Cretaceous pterosaur in Brazil in a dinosaur regurgitalite ("fossil vomit"), here's a diagram I made for my book 'Dinosaurs Without Bones' (2014) showing the physics of a puking brachiosaur. 🧪🦕🤮🪨

I hate that AI has made me approach cute animal videos with an air of suspicion. I resent having to harden my heart to the possibility of an unlikely friendship between a very large dog and a very small one

My hot take about students using AI to cheat at school is that the real issue here is that while ideally education is something pursued enthusiastically in order to seek the divine light of knowledge etc etc, in actuality it is a coerced pursuit of credentials to avoid a life of poverty

one of the biggest contributors to Elon’s loser energy is that he desperately wants to be cool, but doesn’t understand that a big part of being cool is appearing unaffected. he’s one of the most affected men of all time.
Joyce Carol Oates owned Elon so hard he's spent the last day posting about movies he hasn't seen in 15 years

The far right is obsessed with Lord of the Rings and Musk keeps posting about "hobbits" because modern scientific racism owes more to fantasy worlds and gaming systems than genetic science, and they see both as effective mediums for right-wing propaganda www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/1...

Decided to fiiiiinally drop Spotify for good and am already frustrated by Apple Music 😡

As in, the macOS app simply does not function? I was able to transfer my Spotify playlists to the web version of music, and they are appearing on my phone. But Music on my mac simply errors with "Genius failed"

Posing the question should get you politely but firmly ejected from society by a large man dressed like an usher at the opera.

He just appears with a tight smile and quietly suggests that it would be best if you don’t cause a scene.
