I’ve had insomnia for about a week. In this week we’ve done 2 rounds of standardized testing, 2 walking field trips, 2 days of P/T conferences, a PTO meeting, had my son’s bday party, went to a baby shower, oh.. and MOVED. Exhausted doesn’t even begin to cover it. 😭

LAPD once again calling unlawful assembly outside of the Douglas bar as fans are watching the dodger game via laptop and radio the bar turned the tv off. About 30 minutes ago, they called it for the first time and said 5 minutes. Now giving 20 minutes to disperse. Top of the 10th.

I have become known in my kids’ school district but nobody ever pronounces my name right and Im too shy to correct them. (And a hypocrite to boot bc I’m ALWAYS telling people to make sure people pronounce their name right)

I recently was saying how I wanted to move somewhere like Detroit with a lot of other black folks but somehow my neighborhood is becoming more black (and Asian!) and it feels like my own little haven.
