I know the whole work is like a family dynamic is toxic, but I will say something I love about my job or at least my coworkers is that there are a few of us who are the exact same age and we truly bicker like siblings and it just makes work so much enjoyable to have the pseudo work siblings

the fact that i show up to work and hang out with middle schoolers and get them to know a little more than when they came in and I like them and I don't do drugs or drink everyday to cope is truly a miracle.

Everyone on my skyline is older than ICE. We lived a life without them and nothing has improved with their existence: housing is not cheaper, healthcare is not more accessible, and we are not more secure. Abolish ICE and it is your moral duty to oppose them kidnapping and trafficking people.

There is a very interesting conversation we could have about the low cost of additional consumption and how we have incentivized buying more shit over renting/borrowing from friends/families/neighbors or small businesses.

Someone has come to my house at 9:00 after all the leftovers were put up and I sent everyone home with what they made and is mildly annoyed there isn’t enough leftovers for plates to take to a family member. And like- I love these family members and want them to have plates but omg it’s too late 😭

I’ve had insomnia for about a week. In this week we’ve done 2 rounds of standardized testing, 2 walking field trips, 2 days of P/T conferences, a PTO meeting, had my son’s bday party, went to a baby shower, oh.. and MOVED. Exhausted doesn’t even begin to cover it. 😭
