Has anyone watched #Stateless on Netflix? What an incredible series about the harms of detention centres and current immigration policies. It’s a tough but essential watch.

*Big people up*, especially younger people and especially in research, where we are constantly exposed to negative feedback in reviews etc.

Just received the most unhelpful comments from peer-review; Reviewer 1 requested no amendments; then we go to Reviewer 2 who can’t make their mind, due to a “lack of clarity & analytical focal point”; but they do not make any specific recommendations on how/where to improve

how I became anti-capitalist:

- expelled from college for antirape activism
- started doing antirape research and theorizing
- learned about media's role in perpetuating rape culture
- saw the data showing capitalism in media is the biggest barrier to proper coverage of sexual violence

Last year I made a set of NO postcards. Say no to something, punch your card—at the end give yourself a treat. The idea was to remind myself to be mindful and create positive feedback.

If anyone wants one, DM me your address and I’ll mail you one!
