Driving a morning carpool of teenagers helps crystallize why we don't encourage children to take up a coffee habit.

As a UW-Madison alum, this makes me happy.

Trying to decide whether to spend EIGHTEEN DOLLARS to buy my teenager this toothpaste. (Kidding. I'm not buying it.)

So happy to see a different presentation of autism in Dr. Melissa King on “The Pitt” this season! It’s fun to see how the writers are dropping little hints with each episode. S2E4’s food sensitivity description is exactly what my ASD kid has, too! 👍🏻 #thepitt

Staff at a Twin Cities yarn store put together a pattern for a red knit “Melt the ICE” hat inspired by the Norwegian resistance.

They thought they would attract 10 people to a weekly knit-along.

They’ve sold 70,000 copies, raising more than $250k for immigrant aid groups.

BREAKING: The Senate just blocked a bill that would have renewed ICE's budget without real, enforceable changes.

This is a direct result of hundreds of thousands of people across the nation demanding that our Senators vote no.

These fucking Blackhawk helicopters over Phoenix are super upsetting.

Endorsed. Ian knows what he's talking about, here especially.
Higher education is a hellscspe right now, attacked by the freedom government in one side and AI on the other.

This fall, I spent a month visiting elite liberal arts colleges, on the instinct that they would be more resilient in every way. My story (gift link):
The Accidental Winners of the War on Higher Ed
Go to a small liberal-arts college if you can.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

rare to get such a clear glimpse into the mind of someone whose response to problems in his personal life was to blame black people

Spotted in central Phoenix today: teenagers walking out of high schools waving signs while 2 Blackhawk helicopters fly overhead. 🤬

Teenspeak is adorable. “You know someone was having fun writing that prompt,” they say, reading aloud from an egregious blog post that was clearly composed by AI.

Does anyone else have brief brain flashes of places they once visited? Like I’ll be doing something mundane and suddenly I flash back to a pharmacy I visited in rural France. Or I’ll remember walking to a subway stop in Queens. The places I remember are so random & insignificant though. It’s weird.

These are amazing. So proud of all the folks doing this good work.
Reupping this as I'm now working on a story. If you've seen (or made) anything cool, please send my way...
Have y’all seen other crafters/hobbyists/artists/makers putting out into anti-ICE projects? I’ve seen nail art, knitting and crochet. Would love to see more of what folks are getting up to, aesthetically.
