The president’s approval ratings are plummeting and most Americans see him as an aberration. It is now up to them to curtail his despotic reign, says Guardian foreign affairs commentator Simon Tisdall

That 4th Amendment is looking fainter and fainter. As is the 5th, 2nd, & 1st.
In October, we learned that ICE does not let people decline to be scanned by its facial recognition app, Mobile Fortify.

Photos captured by Mobile Fortify will be stored for 15 years, regardless of immigration or citizenship status, the document says. But it has its flaws (tbc below)

The CIA did the same with their water boarding tapes
And what is happening inside ICE detention centers? 404 Media also learned that the federal government claimed that the day after it was sued for allegedly abusing detainees at an ICE detention center, a “system crash” deleted nearly two weeks of surveillance footage from inside the facility.

Yes please!! And don’t forget the Olympics in summer. I can only imagine the harassment the players and fans will face at the hands of ICE goons. It’s not safe.

PS I’m an American football fan and I fully agree with herr Göttlich. ANYONE with an accent will be subjected to harassment if not worse.
Oke Göttlich, a senior German football executive, has urged Europe to consider boycotting the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as U.S. President Donald Trump’s escalating rhetoric over Greenland and broader foreign policy moves spark unease across the continent.
