This project is incredible.

Please go look at the works of these severely unwell artists.

These are the voices so rarely heard.

And so rarely have the platform to share their stories.

Phenomenal effort for them to put this together.

Today it’s time to launch a big project I’ve had the privilege of working on: A Quiet Storm—an online art gallery showcasing the artwork of people living with severe ME/CFS. 1/7

I can't believe that the endgame of a highly contagious airborne pathogen that led to millions of deaths is a bipartisan effort to ban masks.

The only difference between a temp abled person & a disabled one is luck & time

Their good health isn’t due to “trying harder” or moral superiority. It’s luck

Health can be taken away at any moment, and if you live long enough you will almost certainly experience disability

Be kind. Be inclusive.

I wish chronically ill people could do a “freaky Friday” switch with our non disabled peers.

If they could feel what it’s like to exist in our bodies, they might be more compassionate.

Alternatively, I would like to know what it’s like to exist in a body free from pain. A body that feels safe.

Wow, how different the past 20 months of my life could have been had this interview of Dr Alba Asola by Dr Zeest Khan been available.

A must listen for anyone with a bunch of bizarre symptoms being told they’re “fine” by medical providers. Actually, you may have #dysautonomia.

Thank you!
I was a voracious physical book ready until I developed Long Covid and now I can’t process them.
Audiobooks have saved me.
Lots of people need adaptive reading assistance for a variety of reasons.
To claim audiobooks don’t count is ableist AF.
Audiobooks count as reading.

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Ok #chronicillness friends, what cozy, low-demand shows do you recommend for distraction?

Lately I’m liking the kind that have a story arc that wraps up each episode, but I def enjoy a good binge if it’s a compelling season-long thread.

I’m curious, do you let yourself start a new project before finishing a previous one?

I’m def team Start A New One, but I know I’m chasing dopamine. I’ve decided that’s ok?
