If you're interested in diving deeper, this is still a pretty good gist (shared each time another part of the world decides to do age verification...)

Evan presents "super cool dude culture of petty revenge"

but more importantly also something (strangely) symbolic
You heard it here first folks, I released a new video.

It's about an apartment building the people of Beirut call "the middle finger".

i’m in a giant CC chain about some server maintenance and I’ve just gotten a message failed to deliver because there’s so many internal and external vendors with giant signatures and disclosure disclaimers that we hit 554-5.3.4 “Maximum number of body parts exceeded”

I'm buying a kitchen and they sent a sample of the marble counter top with a metal ball showing what the sink will be like. Now my desk looks like a 90s 3D rendering tool demo image.

Heck if you're lucky, you can do it programmatically: starting with wikipedia entries -> wikidata id -> musicbrainz release group -> add to listenbrainz playlist -> fetch youtube/applemusic (or even navidrome (pog))
If any data is missing, you can edit & contribute too!!

So, Wikipedia has a giant list with a page for each ost/score.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fast_%2...

I'd expect ListenBrainz to have metadata with streaming links. You might be able to create a playlist on LB by combining all of it (or just some?). The benefit? LB can fetch & play from multiple places

"Luchs speaks five languages: English, French, Italian, and some German and Russian. She approached grasping Gen Z parlance like she was learning another language.

...An Instagram commenter wrote: 'She’s so natural with it too like it’s not even cringe.'"
Alison Luchs, who has worked at the National Gallery of Art for 47 years, agreed to learn Gen Z slang and make videos because she wanted to raise interest in the museum’s art.

More people from BlueSky have now watched this episode than YouTube has shown to people through their algorithm.

Thank you everyone.

I've never had a video throttled even a hundredth this badly before.

Talk about Israel on YouTube, lose your channel for the privilege. Unfortunate.

The most effective way to change minds on a complex topic is a simple, easily-digestible aphorism and as far as those go I think this is among the best.
This isn't mine, and I can't definitively find the original source. But I love this little bit of wisdom:

"If you're a fifteen-minute walk from a coffee shop, but the server there has to drive an hour to get to work, you don't live in a walkable city. You live in a theme park."
For all the fearmongering about capital flight from New York City, there’s an exodus few want to talk about: working people.

Sky-high rents and outrageous child care costs are already pushing families out of the city they keep running.

That’s what we have to change.
