The biggest hinder to solving Ireland's housing crisis is not finaincing, or planning law, or judicial reviews - it's that Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael don't want to.
Again if you find yourself wondering about things like Judicial review because politicians and some right wing journos say this is the reason we can’t get things done, just remember this is complete bollix and the real reason is lobbyists, lobbyists, lobbyists and politicians who become lobbyists.

Naoise Dolan: We need to create an Ireland where everyone can become fluent in Irish
On a grassroots level, it could not be clearer: Irish people want to learn Irish. An island-wide Údarás na Gaeltachta study found last year that 74pc wish to improve their level.

When I was reading a lot of early 20thC popular Irish weekly papers (as you do) I found at least one short story where going to Gaelic League language classes was how young men made themselves attractive to the cool girls and therefore got a girlfriend. So that pushes it back to c.1908!

Just to add that #SpéirGhorm is also correct even when you take ‘spéir’ and ‘gorm’ as two separate words - this is because ‘spéir’ is feminine and so adds a h to the following adjective;

(a) blue sky - spéir ghorm
(a) red sky - spéir dhearg
(a) black sky - spéir dhubh
