I think this is obviously it- they’re cops. They’re just cops.
I haven’t seen any evidence of an ICE hiring binge. Federal hiring and training of a new ICE officer, from the time the job is posted to the time the person begins work, can be expected to take easily 12-18 months.
That’s why they’re pulling so many LEOs from other agencies; thousands of them.

I think this is, in light of the past 8 years, either the single dumbest thing I’ve ever read or proof that the goalposts have moved so far as to have switched places like magnetic poles. I no longer want to ride this particular planet of the apes.
Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.
