My first shift was 3 AM to 6AM, and the bar’s closed at 2 AM. Somebody really should’ve intervened. The next semester I got 12 AM to three, and people acted like that was a huge boon to my schedule.

A formative experience! You’re lucky that it’s a band you like. I’ve spent many a night in the back nursing a tallboy at this point.

Middle age is realizing that you need to treat beer like pops- you drink one in the afternoon, maybe at dinner, but you don’t crush two liters by yourself.

This is completely wrong advice, and you should feel bad about it! Now, my bikes, and the money I spent on them, are 100% a midlife crisis, but that is not the fault of the handlebars.

The bigger problem is that rich private school kids get accommodations for EVERYTHING and poor kids get told to work harder. Welcome to America.
