Taking a cab home only for me to realize he dropped me off on the wrong street. There my blind ass was scratching my chin thinking well shit. Now what?
Some neighborhood kids came up to me & asked if I was that guy with the big dog. & if I was lost… I said yes & yes. They help me find my place.

Three cheers for public shaming.
Rio Foster's mother tells The Athletic that the Angels *will* continue to insure her son after he was severely injured in a car crash.

Props to my colleague @samblum3.bsky.social, whose story on Rio's care seems to have prompted action on the Angels' part.

And I feel like not enough of you know that having a disability has been grounds for denying visa processing since the late 19th century due to supposed risk of needing public assistance.

Reposting with alt text and a gentle reminder that it's easy to add alt text to images these days and very helpful for many users.

(The alt text doesn't exactly match per image because the 2 middle images have too much text, but I added all the remaining text to the final image, so it works)

this is insane, just gangs of armed masked men ripping innocent people from their cars with the full protection of the federal government

for no reason other than payback for the way the area votes
Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

if an immigrant shot a woman in the head at point-blank range while surrounded by ICE agents the immigrant would be dead right now. an ICE agent did it, so the federal government is hard at work smearing the woman it murdered so her murderer can remain free to kill again. no shit there are protests!
