Why do the brown rice people keep pretending it only takes 20 minutes to cook, when we all know it's more like 4-6 hours?! And why do I keep forgetting?

I swear that when I go, my kids will not only have to sort out my estate, but also keep checking to see if my pot of rice is done yet!

If anyone's not sure what to get me for Christmas, I'd love a stopcock, as I can't find mine anywhere.

Thoughts from guitarists/musicians wanted! I'm recording a cover of Noah Kahan's 'Stick Season'. Current plan is to do the rhythm part on an acoustic and then a lead part on a tele, in an Albert Lee/JJ Cale kind of style. So a bit more country/picky than Noah's version.

But what would you do?

My new Sage coffee machine arrived today. It's fantastic, but you need to trial different settings to get it exactly how you want it.

I have now learned that you should just sip each attempt and then bin it before adjusting and trying again.

Not drink all 24 shots of espresso in a 3 hour window.

I thought I needed to up my curry-making skills, so dragged a much loved 1980's cookbook out from under the stairs.

I now realise where I was going wrong - I'd been omitting the spoonful of chutney and the handful of sultanas and chopped apple, for that authentic taste of India!
