Artist, musician, designer, urbanist, living proof living netzero in Alberta is possible. Love travelling #Canadianartist
I’ve had a week off and decided to try something different. I’m trying my hand at capturing some family memories inspired by #MCM life. Growing up we liked to spend time at the lake. My Dad would drive the boat and pull us kids on skis and wakeboards. This #oilpainting tries to capture those times.

Raising money for Ukraine. I have a few prints of one of my original paintings that I am selling for $40 each with 100% of proceeds going to a charity supporting those in need in Ukraine. If you live in the Edmonton area and are interested, then DM me.

After today’s events in the Oval Office I feel like I need to share a piece of art I created years ago that inspired me to create more paintings in a similar style in support of aid for Ukraine. Ukraine is on the front line of the fight for our values of liberty & freedom & they need our support.

Something most conservative politicians seem to not accept. Building and densifying mature areas and brownfield sites should be the most conservative policy around. Raise tax revenue without raising taxes. An accountants dream.
Fantastic blog post by @michaeljanz.bsky.social.

"as the city we still have a choice whether new homes should be built in a way that improves or damages our financial position as a community."

And #yegcc has been making the right choice, time after time.

Since 2015, building inwards contributes +$263 million in property taxes in mature neighbourhoods alone

Sometimes when one sign isn’t clear enough. Why not add a second sign. That should do it.

For our #Canada neighbors. The SANE part of what's left of our country loves you!

I hope you are right about this more than you could ever imagine.
Justin Trudeau's Party has made a remarkable turnaround in the polls and is now on track to win the Canadian election.
With the new leader of the Liberal Party and future Prime Minister Mark Carney, this country is in good hands.

Another benefit is they hardly need to use pesticides so you essentially get near organic.

Saw one of nature’s most remarkable animals yesterday in Costa Rica. We met the 2 and 3 fingered #sloth. They can live 30 yrs, have an 11 month gestation and never go into menopause. They have a super efficient use of energy and poop once a week when they dump about 2kg of 💩 and 1 litre of urine.

Spent the day visiting Panama City. Yesterday we were in another Spanish colonial town of Cartagena Columbia. Both have great old town centres. A slice of Europe on this side of the pond.

The Americans on our cruise are all watching the Superbowl so us Canadians have the run of the rest of the ship.

The amazing thing about visiting places is discovering the unexpected. We expected great beaches as that is what #Aruba is famous for. What we didnt expect was to find this bar called #ApotekSpeakeasy at the end of our day. We enjoyed a great cocktail before heading over to Lucy’s for fish burgers

Noble idea. an one I will pursue.

But I think we need to really consider applying this tactic to perhaps the most important industry.

Media.

As we pull out to sea all is calm but knowing all too well the turmoil we leave behind as this world seems to be goong through a bit of a tantrum right now. Take care folks.

I’ve come to the conclusion that if you are really good at what you do then you get a free pass on everything else. If you arent very good at what you do you had better be perfect at everything else.

Marriage on the rocks. Endless bickering, accusations. Can never do anything right. I don’t want it to end but nothing I say or do it’s good enough. Alberta I’m sad you feel this way. I thought we were stronger together. We could do anything, the envy of others. What appened. Yours always, Canada

My first painting of an Iris & it’s surprisingly challenging. Realizing its a very busy flower. Lots going on. Finding a balance btw having it look visually cluttered or taking some creative licence to tone it down in areas is key. I’m feeling like we’re close now. #canadianart #botany #Art

So here it is. Definitely brings out the colour of the flower. Now to build up the layers of paint on the flowers. #art #canadianart #botanicals

Decided the background conflicts with the foreground so taking the big step and changing it to a light blue. Separately I like the background but it doesnt work with the complexity and colour of the foreground flower so here goes! Stay tuned to see how this turns out. #Canadianart #botanicals #art

So for Christmas @scotiasinger.bsky.social tried something different. More like chiropractic treatment for turkeys but it was Spatchcocking where thru wizardry said bird is flattened out. Why you ask? Cooked in 1/2 time with even cooking as more of the surface area of the bird is closer to the heat.
