They should invent a United States government which isn’t run by corrupt racist pedophiles.

One of the most miserable things about living in this era is having to watch the stupidest & most arrogant people in the world have to relearn The Why of literally everything good that we collectively do the hard way.

The answer is always ‘Because a bunch of people died, fuckwit.’

Excl. The USA forward Catarina Macario has turned down an offer of a contract extension at Chelsea, the Guardian understands. She's attracting interest from around the world, incl. Europe, and her future is now in major doubt after she was left out of Chelsea's squad list for the #UWCL knockouts.

Liam Ramos’ classmates miss him, so they decided to write letters to the ICE agents who took him. “Dear ICE,” one student wrote, “You are scaring schools, people and the world.”

The amount of money the US government spent on troops in DC in 2025 ($223m) would have been enough to give the city's ~5,100 homeless residents each $43,000. Instead, federal troops destroyed their meager encampments.
"Federal troop deployments to U.S. cities cost a total of $496 million in 2025, CBO estimates. Continuing current deployments will cost $93 million a month; 1,000 Guard personnel deployed to a city will cost at least $18 million a month." www.cbo.gov/publication/...

i see cool ass people and the backs of cowards who know what they're doing is craven, illegal, and wrong
I'm starting to think the Trumpist mastery of propaganda is failing them. The DHS agents posing this way makes it look like they're ashamed of themselves.

The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:

- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE

This is just lazy and irresponsible management of player wellbeing. To not even CHECK IN to make sure everyone is ok/processing and not privately spiraling?? At best they’ll say nope we’re good, and at worst they’ve struggled all week and don’t feel supported. YOU set the tone.
I asked Emma Hayes today:

How are the players in #USWNT camp taking in all that’s going on in Minnesota and nationwide?

How is she handling it with a squad that's not just younger than usual, but is missing many names who regardless of age might lead on this?

And how is she processing it herself?

Agree 1000% - she doesn’t need to be the one to lead, but ya gotta do something even if that’s passing it to someone else who’s better equipped. You tellin me Christen Press was RIGHT THERE and no one asked her if she’d be comfortable checking in and facilitating a conversation?
I try not to defend Hayes, but she's not the right person to lead the conversation, even though she is manager. Not having more of the senior heads - espeically those who've since retired - means that the there's not the discussion coming from those who play. I don't agree with being an ostrich but

to put that on top of everything and emma STILL never brought anything up? pathetic at this point. you have a player who’s own home community is well… we all know, and she doesn’t have the balls to say anything? jesus christ.
I can’t quite put together words on this response outside of I really, REALLY, hate it and think it sucks.

Madeline Dahlien, a 21-year old first-time call-up to the senior national team, is from Edina, Minn., a suburb just outside of Minneapolis and what’s happening hasn’t come up once? At all???
