Today I am thankful for pre-holiday break me who made a to-do list for today so I have some semblance of remembering what I need to accomplish this week.

Today is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

My two reminders for the day:

1. Everyone will be disabled at some point in their lives, whether that is situational, temporary or permanent.

2. Accessibility makes the world better for everyone.

You start to see it everywhere and in yourself, and it hurts.

You realize how it’s affected you, and the people you love.

But the strength of that knowledge is a shield and it protects us.

The burden of the weight is lighter the more of us hold it.

There are days I wish I could “switch off” and not remember what I know.

Learning about accessibility is like onions (and ogres).

You start peeling, suddenly you find yourself many layers in, distraught over how deeply ableist societies can be.

I'm debating about resurrecting my blog.

The problem is I want to redesign some of it, and then I think that that would be a good blog series.

And then I think I should do a whole personal branding identity redesign.

And now I need a kanban board for my blog.

Bluesky tip for no reason in particular:
There's a setting in the moderation settings section of your account that makes it so logged out accounts can't see your posts. If you have blocked some accounts for a reason, you should probably also go turn that on.
