Fellow holders of Canada PR and US citizenship, where are we risk-wise on crossing the border into the US these days? Is it still OK if you enter via a method with pre-clearance? Is it just a flat no-go? I'm weighing whether to visit my family for US Thanksgiving and would appreciate good knowledge.

Summer Sons is one of the most unsettling books I've read in the past decade. I don't think I can say enough about how powerfully or how deeply it affected me.
It's not perfect. The pacing bogs down in the middle, and you don't have to squint to see the bad guys coming a mile away.

This remains as true as it was when I wrote it.
I review a lot of technical documentation from engineers who are non-native English speakers. Please hear me: the English you're struggling to write and feeling discouraged about is so much better than whatever ChatGPT produces. There is no replacement for your particular voice and skill.

When I was younger if asked what super power I'd like I always said the powers of Colossus from x men. But as I get older I think the power I'd love to have is to be able to speak every language in the world. Imagine living in a world with no barriers to communication 🩷
