Of course the people of Gander stepped up again.
Two planes were diverted from St. John’s because of bad weather.
Within an hour of posting it on social media 200+/- passengers were at their hotels.

Councillor Tim Tierney is wrong about ‘Chronic No-Voters’ in his Ottawa Citizen Op/Ed on Saturday.
His opinion would be easier to take seriously if the comments weren’t coming from someone with a 15-year track record of being a reliable yes-man for every budget. 1/21

Th it s well worth the read as it is reasoned, well founded in , and essentially asks councillors of all stripes to do what is best for all citizens, especially those who need our help the most
This was a scurrilous ad hominem attack on the integrity of City Council colleagues by @timtierney.ca. During a Term of Council when we've all sought to avoid the petty divisiveness of the last term, Councillor Tierney sadly brought us all lower yesterday. 1/ ottawacitizen.com/opinion/budg...

PC turkeys $35 each 9-11kg. And that’s an 18% pride difference between 9Kg and an 11kg one - not to mention you will never find an 11kg one but no price gouging to see here. Move along

@glengower.ca why is a city account trying to sell a budget that is not yet passed, as doing so violates the separation of the politicians from the bureaucracy in a democratic system? Why aren’t all councillors calling this out? This is not normal and should not be tolerated by saying nothing.

It’s worth nothing Andrew Scheer hasn’t posted in over a day — also he’s not taken down his tweet about Rachel.

Keep up the pressure on your MP and the Parliamentary Ethics office.

A sitting MP using their official social media account to put a citizen in danger is not acceptable.

On 9/11, flights on the way from Europe to the USA were diverted to Canada. 38 flights holding almost 7000 passengers landed in Gander, NFLD, a town of under 10,000. The Plane People were welcomed with open arms. They were strangers who became family.

Remembering 9/11: Canadian town stepped up to help thousands of stranded passengers
On Sept. 11, 2001, thousands of passengers and crew were diverted to Gander in Canada because of the closing of U.S. airspace – leading to one extraordinary story of compassion.

When you add the 10-12 years it takes before they get to practice, we most certainly do not pay Doctors enough. Hat's off to the three of them and the thousands just like them all across the country.

Stop calling them vaccine skeptics. They are child death enthusiasts. They are murderers. Disinformationmongers. Evil.

They aren’t critical. There’s nothing real there. Not even kernels of truth. They grasp at the subjectivity of the human experience and manufacture crises to enable real ones.

Pierre Poilievre is no longer the leader of the CPC according to Parliamentary rules and must vacate Stornaway immediately. #Cdnmedia should have known that, and reporting on a “debate” on that is irresponsible. Does he need help packing? Stop gaslighting everyone and breaking the rules for him.

Wow, folks...I am so incredibly grateful (and a lil overwhelmed, in a good way!) for the response to this.

It's heartening to see how many care about an issue that is SO much bigger than any one journalist.

It's a trend, and we have to stop it. You all give me hope we might be able to do that. ❤️
I’m devastated, but I’m also angry. I’m angry because this is an attack on press freedom.

If opportunities can be stripped from journalists simply because enough people repeat the same bad-faith narrative, how can anyone withstand the career impact of doing work that matters?
