I've been searching for this bit of 90s Canadiana for decades. Shirts with the sketch from this ad were actually printed and given away, yet it had become impossible to find. A friend managed to locate it in an ad comp video, and I'm overjoyed to be able to isolate and present it in all its glory.
I'm all for this. Beyond Celine and a lot of Quebecois pop, I'd like to think we have enough Italo (Lime, Trans-X) and Eurodance (Love Inc., Boomtang Boys) history to understand the roots of this great spectacle. And don't even get me started on novelty pop songs and "quirky" singer-songwriters...

I'm all for this. Beyond Celine and a lot of Quebecois pop, I'd like to think we have enough Italo (Lime, Trans-X) and Eurodance (Love Inc., Boomtang Boys) history to understand the roots of this great spectacle. And don't even get me started on novelty pop songs and "quirky" singer-songwriters...
Okada/Tana might not be ideal, but anecdotally I'm seeing it getting more buzz from lapsed/casual NA NJPW viewers then anything since Goto's title win.

Pity all the careerist centrists who now have to publicly whine about how their "do nothing as fascist secret police eat the country alive" strategy will be hampered by...(checks notes)...grassroots enthusiasm for a young, fresh-faced candidate with popular policies running on their own ticket.

This aligns w many of my thoughts as I try to not fall too behind thanks to the Jays' run. Higher floor than you might think, but low ceiling, outsiders have been fun but unremarkable. Normally I'm the first to defend wrestling for wrestling's sake, but the whole tourney's felt pro forma.
Caught up on like, 2/3s of NJPW Super Junior Tag League - it's a little difficult to understand just how little care they've given to this tournament (even if I find the Hiromu/Gedo thing funny) in the scope of them not giving enough care to the rest of their product either.

Beyond the actual results, this is the stuff about Trey that leaves me gobsmacked. He's getting the sort of single-A seasoning you'd want to see in a good developmental program at the highest level and with the highest stakes in the world.
This is the first time in his PROFESSIONAL CAREER that Trey Yesavage has thrown a pitch in the seventh inning of a game he started. #Bluejays
