Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

I also LOVE a bit of representation for people learning Irish to such fluency as adults because so many people imagine that it's too late for them, they missed their chance, or it'll only ever be the cúpla focal they master and nothing more.

I saw so many English speakers who point out that they themselves didn't speak Irish/don't engage with it themselves saying that it would be ridiculous for the Uachtarán to be anything but an Irish speaker.
I think for some there's nearly an aspirational type of Irishness to her.
